Sony Bravia XBR KDL-52XBR6 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV (High Definition LCD TV)

0

Sony has claims that its Bravia LCD TV series has long been a benchmark of all other TV manufacturers. Although a little narcissistic, I would have to mostly agree with this claim. Sony TV’s today may no longer dominate the market, but it remains the pioneer of many TV technologies used in many TV models today. Here is a quick review of Sony Bravia’s latest roll out.

The Sony Bravia XBR KDL-52XBR6 1080p LCD TV is the latest offering from the Bravia TV series. To date, this model has all the latest features and applications that any LCD TV could have.

Electrical appliances from Sony have always sported a plain and minimalist, and this can be observed in the latest Bravia model. In fact it displays little, if any design differences from its predecessors. But one must not be fooled by its deceivingly simple design as this new model has tones of new features hidden underneath.

One of the best features of the Sony Bravia XBR KDL-52XBR6 1080p LCD TV is its 120Hz Motionflow technology. This feature allows for smoother images transitions in videos, delivering, a smother and sharper video quality.

Like many Sony appliances, the new Sony LCD TV incorporates the 24p True Cinema technology. As most cinema movies are shot at 24 frames per second, this technology allows you to view a particular movie at the quality the film was shot. This LCD TV feature works best with a Sony Blu-ray disk player, which also has the 24P True Cinema feature.

Another new feature found in the Sony Bravia XBR KDL-52XBR6 1080p LCD TV is the built in TV guide. The TV guide continually updates itself for free where you can view the latest program listings from the comfort of you TV couch.

Although the Sony Bravia XBR KDL-52XBR6 1080p LCD TV has tiny hidden speakers, the quality of sound produced is astounding. No matter what the shape of your room is, the S-Force surround sound system enables you to hear sounds from behind you during a movie. This model has 4 HDMI inputs, 2 video inputs, and a PC input.

Protect Your Movie Library by Learning How to Backup Blue Ray Discs

0

As a new technology, Blue ray discs are more expensive than DVD’s, and although they will continue to fall in price over the next few years, you can take steps to ensure that any accidents will not deprive you of your movies. Movies are still currently around thirty dollars a piece, and by spending a small fraction of that, you can make sure that you’ll always have them. In this guide, you’ll learn how to backup Blue ray discs and keep your movie library safe and sound for years to come.

The Blue Ray Drive

You don’t need a stand alone Blue ray player. In fact, a computer drive (many new computers are being shipped with Blue ray drives, and you can also buy drives yourself to put into a free 5.25″ external bay in your computer) will help you learn how to backup Blue ray discs. Unless you buy two separate drives, you’ll need to download some software (often available for free online) that will allow you to “rip” or copy the contents of the Blue ray disc to your computer’s hard drive, although you’ll want to read tutorials or manuals for the specific software you’re using to learn specifically how to backup Blue ray discs with that software.

With the contents of the Blue ray disc copied to your PC, you can insert a blank Blue ray recordable disc into your Blue ray burner and use software like Nero or any other software that can burn to Blue ray discs to do just that. There are too many different ways you might have to burn content to Blue ray discs to list here, so you’ll need to read up on the individual manuals or tutorials provided with the software once again to learn the final step in how to backup Blue ray discs.

Some problems remain with these methods though. For one, stand alone Blue ray players and the PS3 don’t necessarily support the burned formats (yet), although programs like WinDVD Blu-ray Disc Playback Software will, so you can continue to watch the burned movies on your PC (and if you have a computer Blue ray drive, chances are that that is what you’re doing anyway). Blank blue ray discs are just a few dollars a pack, and you can use them to record anything. If you have thousands of digital photos that you’ve taken over the years, you can free up hard drive space and make your computer run faster by moving all the photos onto a blank Blue ray disc for example. This process is actually pretty easy, and you can make sure damaged discs never hurt your movie library by learning how to backup Blue ray discs and potentially save yourself hundreds of dollars over the years.

Camcorders For All

0

Capturing the moment could not be easier than by using a camcorder. Whether it’s a birthday party, graduation, or the birth of your very first child, there are moments we never want to forget. Using a camcorder at these events allows us to record those special moments and play them back for many years to come.

Camcorders were originally designed for television broadcasting companies. They allowed them to record news or make movies for television play throughout the world. Several companies have downsized the models to make types comfortable for individuals to own for their own use. Older models which use the VHS storage method were able to record up to three hours of recording. Now camcorders are being created that can record several hours of movies. Every camcorder consists of three major parts; the lens which allows light into the camera and adjusts the zoom and what is recorded, the imager which converts the light to create the electric signal, and the recorder which records that movie data and sound.

There are now several types of camcorders to choose from. High Definition, flash memory, miniDV, and Flip screen camcorders are all available for consumers to purchase and use. Camcorders come in many shapes and sizes, which make them easier to carry in any situation. Camcorders have a variety of settings which allow you to record in color, black and white, or add a boarder to the recording while you capture it. Another great feature is that they record both sight and sound. Imagine capturing your child’s first word and being able to hear it for many years to come.

Camcorders come equipped with many forms of storage. Some older models contain tapes which allow you to play the recorded materials on a video cassette. Newer models contain flash drives or hard drives; both internal and external, which allow you to load the movie onto the computer and save it there or burn it to a DVD. Many television shows also look for home videos that have been recorded which may give you some exposure in your movie making hobby.

Camcorders can truly be enjoyed by any person. You do not necessarily need to have a whole television channel in order to enjoy a camcorder to its fullest. Just one moment of happiness that you were able to capture on video is enough to last a lifetime.

When you think about what people miss most if the lose their house in a fire, it is not physical objects. It’s the memories of important events that our cameras and camcorders help preserve.

The Advantages of a Digital SLR Camera

0

A digital SLR camera is a significant investment. And if you’re going to commit to such a high-quality product, you probably want to know the benefits of ownership. With that in mind, here are some of the most significant advantages to owning a digital SLR — and how this camera can take you to the next level of digital photography.

What are the differences between a Digital SLR Camera and a Standard Digital Camera?

There are several key differences between these two types of camera that every potential buyer should know before making a purchase decision. These differences include:

* Auto-focus. Digital SLR cameras are not the place to go for automatic focus functionality. Unlike their less-expensive cousins, SLR cameras are manual focus.

* Price. Digital SLRs carry more powerful features that straight digital cameras and as such will also have a higher price tag.

* Features. As mentioned above, SLR cameras have a wide array of features geared towards the intermediate or advanced photographer. These include different lighting settings, zoom lenses, shutter speeds and more.

While the point-and-click crowd will be satisfied with less expensive digital cameras, those photographers who want to take a “step up” should consider digital SLR cameras as the next step in their hobby experience.

What are the Advantages of a Digital SLR Camera?

* Lightning fast shutter speeds. Why is a fast shutter speed important? Have you ever lost a shot with an inexpensive digital or standard camera waiting for the picture to snap? Digital SLR cameras are quick on the draw, so when that special moment happens, you’ll capture it all in glorious color.

* Multiple lens options. Digital SLR camera offers serious options for serious photographers. Most prominent among these options is the ability to add a variety of different lenses to the camera. Whether you’re shooting panoramic vistas or emotional close-ups, there’s a lens for your SLR to capture it more effectively.

* Low light photos. These cameras have the power to turn poor lighting conditions into great shots. The digital sensors in a digital camera can bring vibrant images to life even when there’s not enough ambient light to go around. And the coolest part, they can do it without using a flash!

* More human control. Cameras with automatic flashes or zoom controls are a great choice for many weekend photographers. But people who need a more control are better served by Digital SLR cameras. While many of the point-and-shoot features that make digital cameras so great are available here, there is also a wealth of customizable options in SLRs that a person can control just about every aspect of their photography.

Where is the Best Place to Buy a Digital SLR Camera?

Currently, the best deals on digital cameras can be found online. By knowing what you’re looking for ahead of time (do your homework!) and spending an hour or two comparison shopping, you can find a deal that outstrips almost anything found in a traditional camera store.
